Circuit Electronic Guidebook Music
Music Projects by R. A. Penfold, Music Projects contains a collection of projects based on music applications. Components are widely available and the circuits form the basis for further experiments. Circuit diagrams are provided, as are photographs of the main circuits. Parts lists are also given. Robert Penfold's reputation for innovative circuit designs and well-thought out projects is firmly established. His work has been featured regularly in the popular 'Bob's Mini Circuits' section of Electronics, the Maplin magazine. This is a collection of his best ideas from the magazine. Projects include an accented metronome, a tremolo unit, a guitar compressor, a bass fuzz, and a chorus unit.
Electronic Circuit Guidebook: Volume 5: Digital Electronics by Joseph J. Carr, Digital Electronics
Circuit bending - Circuit bending is the creative short-circuiting of electronic devices such as guitar effects, children's toys and synthesizers to create new musical instruments and sound generators. Although similar methods were undoubtedly used by other musicians and engineers previously, this method of music creation is said to be pioneered by Reed Ghazala in the 1960s. Electronic music - Electronic music is a loose term for music created using electronic equipment. Any sound produced by the means of an electrical signal may reasonably be called electronic, and the term is sometimes used that way -- in music where acoustic performance is the norm, even the introduction of electronic amplifiers may touch off discussions of electronic music (jazz and folk music, for example, have gone through a good deal of argument about the topic). Electronic body music - Electronic body music (EBM) is a musical genre combining elements of industrial music and electronic dance music. The genre's early influences run the gamut from the noisy industrial music of the time (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) to the Radical Dance scene (Portion Control, 400 Blows) and straight-ahead electronic music (Kraftwerk, DAF). List of electronic music artists and DJs - A list of notable artists in different genres of contemporary electronic music. (For electronic artists and composers in a more "classical" or art music tradition, see electronic art music).
